I wonder if it would be possible -beware ...just an idea ...I have NO Alembic-buying plans for now- to leave the parallel bookmatch to center Idea and have (for instance a K-shape body six-string) the lines bookmatch to center in V-shape. It would make a very interesting game of lines on the outer border of the bass. Even offsetting the pieces of wood a bit could be interesting although I think that would be more faisible with smaller lines like Wenge or meybe Zebrawood (the-wet-dog-smelling-wood HA!)
