Personally I kinda like the new Alembic tailpiece design. The Standard point and Omega were really getting old and I think the new Fence Post look finishes off the SC body nicely.

Sorry, the tail was vestigial, now it's in the carving department:
and lacking that tail.

The detail and precision on the coverplates and the outer egdes is astonishing. Thanks for the update Mica.

Well, I guess all those special features have vanished and it now look like an ordinary bass:
It's wet in this picture, which makes it look more finished than it is. I think you've still got close to 2 weeks in the finish department.

Now we've finished the preset, and just waiting for the hardware to return from the goldplater. Here's your bass pretty much finished otherwise:
It looks even better in person.

It looks great. Many thanks to all. I wrote your mom about the fretboard inlays, considering leaving them off (I have the led side markers to find my way). Can you give me an opinion on that?
Would it look strange to leave them off?

Loaded and in line for calibration:
There is 1 new job in front of yours (for our patient friend nikbass). Once that's licked, it will be time for your bass to visit my dad's workbench.

Hi Rory,
Matthew has had his bass for a while now. If you check the date on the last post you'll see it was from over a year ago.
