(?/x) Alembic/Modulus Neck-Thru Bassstar ?

Just bought this.  I read that some of the neck-thru versions like this one may have been made by Alembic (the bodies anyway). Does anybody know if these is any truth to that? The knobs even look like Alembic knobs to me. Any info would be helpful!

Welcome to the club, quadzilla. That's a nice looking Bassstar.
 
I don't think I'm mistaken, but the Modulus/Alembic relationship had Modulus making necks for Alembic, not Alembic making bodies for Modulus.
The knobs themselves aren't specific to Alembic. I think I've read  that the knobs are a mil-spec, off the shelf variety. I like the big, top hat style you show.
 
It's close to siesta time for me, so I might be a little fuzzy about the information.
