Stereo Electronics Configuration

I've looked around for a guide to different electronics options and how they are configured but didn't see anything.  I've hardly used my bass and I have questions before a gig soon.  I have an MK signature with anniversary electronics and I'm not sure what each of the selector options are and when I can or can't use a TS plug to a single amp.  I've only used it in stereo to trace amps with a ground lift.  My small amps do not have a lift.  Does it have to be in mono mode to use a TS plug or will it hurt to short the output of one side if I make the wrong selection? etc.  If I remember correctly, the tip is the neck pickup.  Any suggestions for a good ground lift for amps that don't have one.

If you are in stereo mode and use a TS plug only one pickup will work. You need to switch to mono to use a TS plug. With Anniversary electronics it is the switch by the 1/4 jack (or the other switch by the jack if you have LED's).
 
Normally you should not need to use a ground lift. I'm not familiar with Trace amps so I'm not sure what ground in the signal path you are lifting. I can say I have never lifted the ground on my rig with either my Brown Bass or Series 1 other than when diagnosing problems related to connections between equipment.

Thanks!  I was able to play with it in stereo and got it mostly figured out.  I was just wondering about TS.  With TRS in mono mode, it plays mono to one amp so it sounds like it is designed for TS only with the switch in mono. I didn't experience a significant enough hum with my little Carvin amps so far, so it looks good to go with stereo.  The trace AH-400 amps produce a loud hum in stereo. I think the lift switch on those disconnects the ground wire to the wall and the power supply but it's been years since I looked.
