Just finished recording with it for the first time and it was nothing but smiles from the control desk. This bass is astounding in both the way it plays and the sound it produces. The flamed purpleheart is breath taking. The best money I ever spent.

The purpleheart not only is breath taking but makes your bass that much more unique.  That doesn't seem to be a common top laminate wood.  How does it compare as far as weight and balance with your Epic?

Well, being a 5 and the fact that it has brass controll plates,it's just a little more wieghty than the Epic but the balance is perfect. This is my first 5 and it pretty much set me free.I still love my Epic but it stays in the case alot more than it used to.
