Well, I finally got to use my MK at some gigs this past week. Despite being low key bar/club affairs, I was extremely impressed at how the bass cut through the mix without ever swamping the sound. Also, I got some good feedback and comments about the sound from the audience which doesn't usually happen. Reckon I need a thicker strap though as these things aren't light!

If you're using a regular guitar strap, try one that is WIDER. A thicker strap is perhaps more comfortable, but a wider strap actually lessens the pressure because the weight is resting on a larger surface. So a wider, thicker strap would be ideal.

You might want to try the Moody straps that Alembic sells. They are wonderfully soft and supple, excellent quality, and come in the wider 4 version for bass. (I have three of the narrower ones for guitar.) By far, the most comfortable of the numerous straps I have.

I've tried Comfort Strapp, Moody, Brooklyn Gear and too many others to mention. The best, at least for me, is the NeoTech Super Bass strap. Don't know how it works, but it does. It's also not uncomfortably wide and is reasonably priced.

Thanks for the suggestions, I will dig out some of the mentioned straps and give them a go.
