Strange Alembic Dream
« on: June 06, 2016, 10:59:08 PM »

I must start by saying I've had a week of really strange but interesting dreams. I've just woken from another strange dream. In it I was at my home and the doorbell rang and when I went to see who was there, it was Pierre-Yves, Stanley Clarke & Mica Wickersham!!!!
Anyway they all came in and both PIerreYves & Stanley had basses with them. We sat talking for a while about all things alembic and Stanley piped up " You know the best way to hear how sweet an alembic sounds is to play the melodies from Stylistics songs because they are so simple, tuneful and there are no strange intervals in them to jar your ear". At that he picked up his bass and asked PierreYves to accompany him on his 5 string europa which they did and went through a string of their 1970's hits. Moments later a crowd of my old friends from school and work arrived and packed the house. I went to get my new shorty to join in the music and when I got back to the room Mica piped up "Jazzyveeeeee" is the the bass  you wanted us to look at? I said yes and she replied bring that here I have Dad's screwdrivers I can fix that. I took the back off and she plunged two large screwdrivers in there and started spinning them in opposing circles until all you could see was a swirling hot soup of grey metal and  plastic in the cavity. There she said  sitting back with a grin, let that cool down and all will be well. Confused as to what just happened I put it down on the side table to cool down. At that point Stanley and PierreYves had started to play Goodbye Pork Pie Hat.

I then asked her why she was over here in the UK, so far from Santa Rosa, she said she'd come to attend a vintage car auction to buy a grey vintage Honda "Preeeeluude" ,as she pronounced it, and found one really cheap for $7325 dollars. Now I have a real car geek friend and he politely reminded her that what she had paid was pounds which was the equivalent of about $10,500 dollars. At which point Mica froze, Stanley and PierreYves stopped playing and I woke up.

Analysis please. :-)

Wow...quite the party!
I love the whirling screwdriver scene.
I believe you're reaching critical mass of a severe case  of Alembicitus...but that's ok  ;D

Thanks for the play by play

Further proof that Alembics are the stuff that dreams are made of.
