What is your 'flat' setting?
To my ears, mine is set to (B-M-T) 9 - 12 - 12 (clock settings)

Surprise! It's about 2-10-2 (dial indicators) with the bright and deep switches off (down position). The Midrange knob is essentially a midrange cut, so nail that to 10 on the dial if you want to hear any mids.

There's a nice little tool called Tonestack on Duncan's Amp pages (http://www.duncanamps.com/tsc/index.html) that prints a frequency plot depending on the settings for high, mid and bass. Just select Fender and swap the values for C2 and C3. This is the F-1X tone circuit.

Thanks!!  This is neat!  Graphically viewing how the controls interact is very helpful.
