Any information on this one Mica? I don’t see anything on the site about a “Wave” or anything with a serial #WV.

MIK  , I have to admit that I feel drawn and summoned by  this bass !  An Alembic six is my future , however I am cautious as the " Birds " fly in to tease me.  :) As well I am please to see this instrument as a contender  . It most certainly is lovely . As per Adriaan's observations I like such a string spacing as well .  Fair game ; who ever make this acquisition hopefully will be pleased and she will have a loving home.  .
For sure it is thing of alluring beauty. Spacing is around 18mm. Funnily enough I have found the Alembic spacing a little tight. I had the most gorgeous Jimmy Johnson Signature 5 some years ago and let it go in part because the spacing was too tight for me. While I am digging shorter scale lengths as I get older I still like the 19mm standard spacing even on my sixers...

Any Jimmy Johnson bass will have the tighter classic neck taper and bridge spacing as they are emulating what Jimmy has on his basses. Any spacing is available by custom order of course! We also make some killer short and medium scale 6-strings (I'm lookin' at you, Phil Lesh!).

Yes, the string edge to edge is how I understand it to be and how I measured for the Wave 6 listing.
The listing does indicate center-to-center spacing, which will be different for every pair on strings on this bass as we space the bridge equally edge-to-edge.
Any information on this one Mica? I don’t see anything on the site about a “Wave” or anything with a serial #WV.
Wave is a body shape designator, it doesn't have a firm set of specifications at this point, as this model is still under development, so for now just consider it a custom build. All the details are on the Reverb listing referenced in the first post.

Thanks Adriaan. This basically looks like a modified Balance K with Anniversary electronics and extras. I just never heard of the “Wave” before and could find no reference to a WV serial number. I had a flame walnut Europa 6 that I loved the sound but had to part with because the neck was too chunky for my small hands and the width also gave me a serious case of carpal tunnel. So I mainly wanted to find out the dimensions of this one and if it is a better fit. Seller replied to me directly. Thanks.

Thanks, Mica!
Way back when I thought I could deal with Jimmy's tighter spacing. Learned a lot since then but that (JJ5) was a lovely bass!

Just found some videos of a wave bass on you tube. May be the same one.
The sound of Alembic is medicine for the soul!
