Functions of Knobs & Batteries on Alembic Darling
« on: September 16, 2023, 04:49:50 AM »
It's been a few years since I took out my Darling and couldn't remember how it even works after all that time, especially as the batteries have died, etc.
Joining up with you kind folks to ask the most bonehead question!

Which batteries do what: there's a pocket with 3 and another with just one battery. Is there a guide/map somewhere for these?

The 4 knobs and 3 little switches: is there a handy chart somewhere to show what these do?

I know I'll forget this stuff again, so I need to keep a proper record. Any help much appreciated. Thank you!

Here’s an explanation of the knobs and switches:

Not sure about the batteries but my guess would be that the 3 power the LEDs and the single powers the preamp?  Wait for an answer on that from someone who actually knows.  :o

I believe Jimmy is correct about the batteries.   My Further uses four 9v batteries for the LEDs and just one for the electronics.

Bill, tgo

The down/bright position info for the pickup switches might be added to the pic, for completeness. (Up: off, middle: on, down: bright.) Thanks for the link.
