Alembic pangram at New York Times???
« on: May 24, 2023, 08:48:44 AM »
I've been playing "Spelling Bee" - one of the games on the New York Times website. Yesterday I was so excited to see this!

However, I was bitterly disappointed when I clicked "enter" and was told it wasn't in the word list! I think I was extra-excited because it was a pangram, using every letter offered. I emailed to complain, and was told that they often don't include "technical terms." Oh well, at least I was able to get a screenshot!

I play Wordle everyday.  Just five letters, so no "Alembic".  I guess "Orion", "Excel", and "Rogue" are still on the table.

Yeah, this really bugged me too!  Technical schmechtical.
