This Saturday, my band Stonetrout will be playing our first gig with an actual live audience since the pandemic started! We’ll be at the Art House Gallery & Cultural Center in Berkeley helping the owner celebrate his 78th birthday (he’s not really 100 … false advertising … hehehehe). Admission is free with donations accepted. People bring food to share for a fun pot luck, though it’s not required. The place is a real slice-o-life right out of 1960s Berkeley, complete with black light posters, lava lamps, People’s Park photos (the owner, Harold, was a hippie photographer back in the day). And, for us youth-challenged folks, the gig is from 7-10:00. No load-outs at 2:00 a.m.! All of my Alembic brethren in the area are welcome.
