This is probably a long shot, but is it possible to look up the build information for a "celebrity" guitar? afraid I don't have the serial number, so I realize that may make it impossible. But just thought I'd ask. It's almost definitely from 1977, and it's a long-scale omega-cut guitar with fairly unique woods, so that would hopefully make it identifiable.
This would be for Mike/Michael Hampton's guitar, i.e. from Parliament/Funkadelic. I've always wondered what the specs are. A bunch of photos are below, for reference.
I probably wouldn't ask, but Mica, I know you had mentioned that you know Mike, and that he has kept in touch with Alembic over the years. So at least it's not a random instrument out of the blue.
From what I can tell: It's a long-scale (most likely), omega body guitar, and would be a Series 1 in current model nomenclature. Top wood is light-colored - maybe flame maple? Spalted maple? Unusually for a mid-70s Alembic, the neck appears to have no purpleheart laminates. Even from the back, it looks like a fully-maple neck, maybe with pinstripes.
If not possible to look this up, no worries at all - just thought it wouldn't hurt to ask. Many thanks!

One of "Skeet" Curtis's Alembic basses is visible in the background too:
