I have been running wireless for a few years now. I usually use my Alembic Series 1 or 2 with the wireless. That is about as active a bass as you can get!
The only problem I see is that the Alembic has somewhat of a hot output. So all I did was turn down the output on the trim pots. That way the unit does not clip. I use the Shure PGXD4. On the front of the Shure receiver there is a signal indicator light that turns yellow if the signal is too hot.
I love it! I no longer carry huge amps, a power supply for my bass, or 5 pin cable. 1 trip load in. I run the Alembic into the wireless. The Shure wireless receiver has a XLR out and a 1/4 inch out. The XLR to the FOH, then the 1/4 inch out to my 1x12 Fender Rumble combo. I really don't need to carry an amp at all, but it is more of a crutch I guess. I can hear the mains and monitors just fine.
So I do not use a power supply with the Alembic bass. Batteries only. I get 4 shows out of 1 set of batteries. I probably can get 5, but I don't push it. After 4 shows the batteries show 8.2 or thereabouts volts. The only issue is with my Series II, my LED's don't work with this setup. I know I can just use an external battery pack, but I have not found someone willing to make one for me.

Oh by the way, I modified the cable for the transmitter so I can use the Neutrik Silent Plug. I use the 90 degree one.
