Greetings from a late bloomer.
« on: December 22, 2021, 10:21:11 AM »
Hello everyone!

First time Alembic bass owner. As with many of you, it has changed my life. I was lucky to come upon a used Orion 6 string fretless from OJ. From the looks of it a prior owner decided to make some "changes" to the instrument by adding ferrules for a string through option.  Regardless it's a wonderful instrument and I am a happy owner.

I have so much to learn about the instruments and company and am excited about that journey.

I'm 47 and have just now discovering the magic of Alembic. Never too late I guess. I have a new build on order and am in the process thinning my instrument collection.

So happy to be a part of the Club!!

Wow, nice stepping stone to enter the Alembic realm!  She looks like a beauty that can sing for days.
Welcome aboard Dan… might need to change you tag/name.   ;)

Pauldo,

Haha! Thank you, sixstringdan is appropriate. Luckily I just ordered a five string, if nothing else to keep my namesake!!

This is a big change in my life. A welcome change, wish I would have done this 30 years ago. I'm so excited to have my Orion and custom build coming up. I feel like," wow, where have I been all these years" Welp, I'm finally home.  ;)
