If this bass has Alembic electronics as indicated it’s a good deal. I would think any informed player or luthier worth his/her salt could work that hum out and one would have a pretty nicer start Alembic.

It reminds me of my "beater" Peavey TL5 that had the finish stripped off by a previous owner.  It's an amazing player and I bet the Epic is too.  Wish I had the funds* to pick it up

Hum shouldn't be an issue if the shielding is still intact and the electronics are correctly installed.

No ferrite beads detected but doesn't look the gentleman really wants it to play. Hope new owner care more about it.

I picked up a TL-6 about a year and a half ago for next to nothing. Really great bass at any price. Neck is amazing.
