On This Day In History
« on: September 29, 2020, 06:31:50 AM »
53 years ago today, William "Fairplay" Kreutzmann brought his new friend Mickey Hart along to a gig at the Straight Theater; in the 2nd set, Mickey sat in for an "Alligator" that morphed into "Caution (Do Not Stop On Tracks)" and ended up lasting 2 hours - or, just long enough for the esteemed Mr. Hart to become a member of the Grateful Dead.

I think it's very cool they are still playing (drumming) together after all this time.  At the tender age of 51, my longest running friendship is approaching 40 years. I have a few musical ones close to 30.  Sadly, a handful of close ones that have moved on in that time.
