I'm looking for an Alembic short scale bass in Australia - I have wanted one of these forever. I used to have a long-scale series 1 which I sold in the 90's - to my continuing regret - to buy an Essence model. The series 1 was an absolutely immaculate bass in every respect (except the fact that I couldn't fit it in the car). It was an act of madness to sell it. The Essence was great, but it never quite filled the void left by the series 1.
