Somewhat relatedly, I ran across this short and rather candid article by John Bohlinger.  Includes some remarks from Adam MacDougall.

Mmmm.  :-\  My Cousin Graham's son very much looked to him for inspiration in his own music. I bet he's taking that news pretty hard.

I've had a music friend go down this way.  A sudden and ghastly business.

Kudos to John Bohlinger for writing this!  I can't speak for any other musicians in this board; I have been in these places in my head every day.

Prayers to the Earle family, Steve has no shortage of hard knocks on life.
The only thing that stays the same is change.

That article caused self reflection for me.  I have some dark corners in my head, I try to stay out of them.
