Won't get fooled again
« on: May 21, 2020, 04:44:03 PM »
Hi everyone!
During this lockdown here in Spain I played a lot. I tried things that I've never aproached. Yesterday I was thinking that The Who's Won't get fooled again would be a good soundtrack for these days. So, if not now, when?
Today I checked the song and remembered that John Entwistle was one of the first Alembic ambassadors, so I grabbed my Essence and turned a little the knobs and the tone was almost there, compared to the studio version. BUT my surprise was when watched the Shepperton Studios isolated cam of John, the tone was almost exactly the same, without touching anything else, just added a little of grit with a pedal (B3K type) to get that nasty edge.Sadly I realized that I only will be able to reach the tone, but not the fingerstyle...

The Ox is outstandig...still! Well, for his „typewriter style“ it‘s possible to learn it - I‘ve done it and once you learned it it‘s a lot of fun! See my video and check it out: - Minute 1:17 onwards...
