It was a scene in a church for a funeral.

That's so cool! I've been a fan since before Tom Baker (John Pertwee? is that his name?) anyway, a long time though there's a few Doctors I've missed over the years...how many shows did you like as a kid that you still like now? probably not many.

Hah! that's pretty cool V.  have to admit I've not watched Dr Who since David Tennant packed in. I Used to be terrified when it was Patrick Troughton but it started to get too silly for my taste in later years.

DT was my last Dr. as well.

I tried watching a couple of shows after he left but for whatever reason they just didn't capture my interest.

It has/had a decent sized cult following. Over here it didn't start as a children's show and was always more teens and adults. Like other BBC shows such as Monty Python and Red Dwarf it was typically on around 11 PM on the Public Broadcasting System. PBS is where most of our educational, arts and documentary shows are broadcast. I think I first started watching it in the early 80's on KQED in San Francisco.  I saw the first series on broadcast TV. When they rebooted it I watched series on Netflix up through the first two seasons of Peter Capaldi. When it moved to Amazon Prime I stopped watching since I don't have it.

BBC America plays it on our fiber now. I grew up watching it on PBS back in the day.  I can't even explain the Dr. Who excitement I feel again.  Part nostalgia, part present/future I guess. I don't know.
