They are confused about the age, but here's a nice-looking maple-topped Persuader right here in my backyard. (I would guess mid-1980's, rather than the late 1970's...)   

Anyway, I have neither interest in this bass, or affiliation with the seller, (although I'm very curious as to who it is!) but I would be glad to check it out in person for any Club Member who is.

A little hefty on the price IMHO, but boy, that's a nice looking bass. I'd be tempted to go check it out!

I'm just guessing that the seller just glanced at current 'asking' prices on Reverb/eBay... which  (in my opinion) are a bit inflated, and priced it along those lines. If someone here is interested enough to make an offer, I'll be glad to go verify its condition and operation. 

I just think it's interesting - having lived here for 40 years, and played music around here for almost 30 of them, I have never seen another Alembic here. People are fascinated when they see mine. (So am I, to tell the truth)
