Had my Epic for about 10 years, though it had a previous owner for 10 years before me! Would love to know some more about it, including what sort of price a 1996 Epic sold for new?
Thanks for you care & assistance to us & our instruments!

Hi Nathan

Welcome to the club! In order for Mica to look up the history of your instrument she is going to need the serial number. Also, be aware that it sometimes takes awhile before she has time to search for the records.

Meanwhile it you can upload a few pictures the members here love to look at pictures of the various instruments.  Plus there are any number of people here who should be able to identify the woods and basic features of your bass while you wait for Mica's response.

Thanks Stephen! Thought I'd put the serial number in the title...but then the title never appeared! Never mind.

Hi Nathan,

Here's what I found out about your bass:

model name: Epic
model number: WLB5
top: Flame Walnut
accent: Maple pinstripe
body: Mahogany
neck: 5-piece Maple
scale: 34" Long
fingerboard: Ebony
inlays: none
pickups: Alembic MXY56
controls: volume, pan, bass, treble, mono output
originally made for: Bass Centre, London
birthday: August 16, 1996

Sorry, I don't track original prices, I don't have details handy about that.

When you made your request, we were using different software for our forum, and some information in some profiles wasn't transferred. You might want to update your profile to include your email address.

Hi Nat. In 1995 in the UK, my 5 string Epic cost £1150 gbp new including a hard case.
