CRYPTICAL—Sweetwater, Mill Valley 5/19
« on: May 13, 2016, 12:24:14 PM »
Psyched to be returning to the Sweetwater! Really nice room with an excellent PA. We will once again be revisiting a classic Grateful Dead show. Like Edwin I have been on the fence about the show recreation thing but it seems like a popular concept and helps remove the usual pre-show negotiation between band members as to what to play.

I plan to play my Series I but am bringing my Alembicized Quantum bass in case my aging back can't handle a 4 hour show with the Alembic.

There will be a "mini Shakedown Street" with vending set up inside the club. The auction at our last show raised $1,000 for the Rex Foundation and I believe there will be another auction at this one, too. Decorations by Jammin' On Haight.

Due to the number of songs performed at the original show (32!) we have gotten permission from the club to start at 8 PM so if you can make it please come early.

CRYPTICAL and Friends celebrate the anniversary of the 5/19/74 Portland Coliseum show.

Stephen . I wish you the best at this gig . Unfortunately I have a rehearsal session that evening and will not be able to make it. I would have liked to  have shown up otherwise.

Thanks Wolf! Should be a fun gig.

Looks like I will be on the East Coast when you play in Berkeley in June. Will make it down to check you guys out at some point.
