One thing to keep in mind about older Series instruments; when the were made, they were extremely quiet, however technology has filled the air around us with all kinds of signals that were not in existence in the seventies. Therefore many of these older Series instruments can have some noise, depending on where you happen to be playing. You can send a Series instrument back to Alembic and have them upgrade the electronics to where it's dead quiet again; but it's not inexpensive.
