Moody Leather Gets Sexy
« on: March 31, 2005, 07:13:04 PM »
I know this forum consists mostly of bass players who probably don't subscribe to the more upscale music journals...but there was a very nice write up in the April copy of Guitar Player about Allison Suter and Moody Straps. The title of the article is actually Moody Leather Gets Sexy.

I'm on Moody's e-mail list so I got the link to the GP article. I not only bought all of Alembic's made-by-Moody's straps, but I ordered a bunch of Moody's own for my non-Alembics as well. Alison is very nice to deal with, and is not too hard to look at as well, LOL!

My Alembics get Moody's as well. But, for anyone interested, Franklin makes a beautiful 4 soft leather strap that you can't beat for the money.  My Gibsons have to settle for those. I can't remember for sure, but I think I paid in the neighborhood of $40 or so at Sam Ash. No nicer strap out there in that price range that I've ever found. I'll post a pic of a Franklin and Moddy side by side later on.

I haven't seen those yet, only those Levy's straps, which don't seem to be too bad. I got a good deal at Moody's...they were considerably cheaper without the Alembic logo on 'em, and you get a discount for quantity.
