Okay, you guys have seen all sorts of my own self built guitars but all of them were Frankenstein Monsters. This time however I can proudly show off what I am capable off.
Based on the Fender Jazzmaster and the Gibson non-reverse Firebird. I made the body of two pieces of Basswood and the glued in neck is made of two pieces of flamed maple. It has a rosewood fingerboard with 24 frets in a Gibson 24 inch scale length. I copied the neck's profile and radius from my Favorite 1989 Fender Strat so I instantly feel at home with it when picking it up.
It currently has two Gibson designed Humbuckers on loan from my Epiphone Les Paul But I already ordered two Rio Grande Bluesdaws to replace them. Switching happens with a pan-pot and the hardware is from Schaller.
Well then how did I do?
