Nothing to do with Alembic or music...
« on: January 24, 2004, 08:15:45 AM »
I've been on medical leave from work since Dec 8.  Monday I start going back in for half days.  It's odd but I'm looking forward to getting back.  Being home, getting lots of rest is great but somewhat boring after about 50 days.
Wish me luck.

Absolutely the best on your return to work, Sam.

I was on medical leave, recovering from surgery, in the fall of 2002. I was only out for 4 weeks, but that was enough to make me antsy about doing some honest work.
Good luck getting back in the saddle.

Not to sound ungrateful for my opportunity to enjoy continuous, uninterrupted, challenging, exhausting, sometimes monotonous work for the past I forgot how many years, but I'm sure I could benefit from a few uninterrupted weeks off...

Seriously, I'm sure I would get antsy too.  Welcome back from the frying pan into the fire!

Indeed, best of luck with your recovery and return to work. Through no wish of my own I spent six months last year out of work and now that I've returned I find I'm more bored now than ever I was whilst unemployed.

That's encouraging, makes retirement look real good, eh?
The half day transition will be good for the dogs.  They've gotten quite used to someone being home with them all day.  Whatever room I'm in they are right there with me.

Yes, it's good to get out of the house, but how does your Epic feel about this?? I fear that she will get lonely not having you around. Alembics have feelings, too, you know

She can still be superior to the Fenders so I think she'll be ok.  She has the place of honor on the right side of the music stand.  Besides she owns me, I don't own her.  The dogs are going to hate it.

Thanks, guys.  I wish there was more practice time.  Lord knows I need it.  The time was there but not the energy.
Believe it or not I'm enjoying getting up in the morning and going in.
