I use a Glockenklang Heart Rock amp, which I bought recently, together with my series basses, an Alembic SF-2 in the effectloop, this is the best combination I have ever heard and played. Punchy, clear, natural.... you name it. Really. I didn't even notice it wasn't a tube amp until I read the manual. Exactly the sound I always wanted. I first heard it when I was on stage, didn't even try it out at the store or at home. Dialed in just a little of the SF-2 and there it was. The best bass sound in the world. Last weekend I used it with my 1977 series bass which I bought from Dale. There's one picture of that bass in the Series I section under Dales '77. I will add some more pictures later. But anyway, I couldn't believe my ears. That old buttery Alembic sound really came to life and was so powerfull and bright. Wilfred is right, Alembic and Glockenklang are a match made in heaven. The only negative point might be the weight. I have the Heart Rock together with the SF-2 in front of my rig and my DS-5R in the back and it weights about 65 lbs. I mounted the DS-5R in the back because I didn't have any space left but I'll keep it that way 'cause that way it prevents me from other people walking against my connector. And as you will know, a broken five pin connector is no fun at all.
