We had the name first (2001) with the .com etc. We registered with the govt. we sent the other folk a cease and desist via our real lawyer. The govt. kicked it out of the system and in the interim a not very accomplished rap collective registered theirs. So our real lawyer costs too much to continue pursuing this issue with their lawyer who can't spell or compose a letter using correct grammar. So now we are called something else. The money will go to a better use.
