Young Jazz musicians
« on: April 04, 2011, 09:08:20 PM »
I just got back from a beautiful weekend in Monterey, CA. where I attended the Monterey Jazz festival's Next Generation Jazz Competition. I thought these performances were way beyond their high school years. These are the Jazz orchestra and the vocal ensemble that place first. Enjoy.

O, YES  ! So much talent and dedication there. I listened to all of it and enjoyed every tune. The parents of these high school age musicians have every right to be so very proud . This was a refreshing listening experience of some familiar JAZZ standards and new stuff that I have not heard . All very cool .Thanks for sharing this with us ,
