WOW!. Shame on WIV, really. What an unfair way to treat musicians! Unfortunately, a handful of promoters haven't heard that we musicians keep their businesses alive, and that not everybody is dying to play on their events (even less if the payment is ZERO, which is becoming quite usual). We opened for ASIA a little more than a month ago, and had the talk with the promoter. We didn't got a FAIR payment, but we got paid nevertheless, but this had to be fought, and it shouldn't be. Thank you very much for the information, it is quite valuable for us to know. Just imagine traveling all the distance from Venezuela to NOTP to find this kind of surprises!!!.
Fortunately, and once your statement is released -and read-, I don't think their words could really make no harm to your band's reputation -it reads from here more like a Rock'nRoll bad boy attitude, which is somewhat good!-.
