Always been a Pink Floyd fan, but just never realized or appreciated just how good of a rock bass player Roger Waters is until recently...Not flashy, not technical, just throws down a strong solid groove, great tone also...
Sounds like he's doing some slapping or something around 3:40...

Agreed.
A lot of people just see Roger as the angry Floyd member and not as a significant bassist.
It wasn't until I was in a band that covered songs from Dark Side of The Moon, Animals and The Wall that I truly appreciated his skills as a bassist.

I remember a couple of back-to-back issues of MUSICAN magazine around the division bell/pulse era titled FLOYD WARS back then, prior to live chat, it was probably as close to a real time spat as you could get in front of an audience.
