Stonetrout on Youtube!
« on: August 06, 2015, 05:01:11 PM »
I just uploaded my first contribution to youtube!  I got a Sony audio/video recorder and tried it out last night at rehearsal with my band Stonetrout.

Since John Prine's Angel From Montgomery was mentioned in a recent thread, I thought I'd share the Stonetrout version:

Alembic connection:  I'm playing a guitar I put together with a Modulus neck, Warmoth body, and Alembic pick ups & electronics, through an F-2B pre-amp.

Spose, we could play the same bill Night of the Fish.   I enjoyed your tune.  Starts out like Leonard Cohen/Lou Reed, then takes off.  Love the sax.

Here's Brown-Eyed Women.  I'm the only Deadhead in the band and no one had heard the song when I brought it in, so the interpretation is fun.

Every time I see your band name I think of the double bill!
we used the slogan....steal your fish

I was in the Dead tribute band, The Dead Ringers with Barry Flast (from Kingfish days) and the rhythm guitar player and myself were the only deadheads.
I was nailing the 70's era Lesh tone..The drummer didn't understand why I was using a series bass with flats and a pick and found it bothersome for some reason...I found it odd to say the least.

Im going in for the brown eyed women vid..
thanks man!
