1986 Music Man Stingray
« on: April 25, 2007, 04:17:40 AM »
Hi, Fellow Alembecians!

Just wanted to give you Bass Connoisseurs the first opportunity to aquire a truly great bass, even though it's not one of our dear Alembics.
I'm offering for sale my Original MusicMan Stingray 4, that I bought new in 1986.
She is a transition MM bass, meaning she is an Ernie Ball MM, but is mostly Leo-era parts. She has a Ernie decal on the headstock, but MM neckplate, bridge, etc.
White Finish, Maple neck and board. ALL ORIGINAL, even has the mutes on the bridge. She is in excellent condition, not yellowed, has some minor finish cracking, noticeable only when you look for it. Has a FEW small dings, a little belt rash, but is in amazing condition for her age. Standard-for-era MM preamp and controls, plays and sounds like, well, a Music Man should, GREAT! Has original WARRANTY papers, and original hard shell case.
Anyone interested in this prize piece feel free to e-mail me @ 5stringho@sbcglobal.net.
I REALLY hate to part with this one, we have a lot of history together, but, unfortunately, circumstances dictate some things got to go

Thanks, Mike...........
