Still for sale @ $13,000.

I was also advised to mention that the replacement value for this instrument is approximately $26,000.

The five string is sold now.  Money being sent Next-Day in the moring.  The fretted and fretless fours are still available, but I am thinking he might be keeping the fretted four.  The fretless is definitely still for sale.

Hey David:

Since I first read of their existance, I have always wanted ebony lams, and now I will have some.  I am jazzed big time about getting this bass.  I have also have always had a thing for Europas, and quilted maple has tonal qualities I really like, and it looks pretty snazzy, too.  Now, if it only had an omega tail, it would be perfect!  How are you getting along with that custom you ordered?  That bass looked AMAZING!

Thomas

It's great and getting better all the time, thanks.  I recently posted that I always took with a grain of salt Mica's and Susan's comments about how an instrument figures out that it's not a tree anymore and evolves.  But, darn if that isn't happening.  Watch out for it with this one.

Glad you are back.  I think you said you are west (or going that way).  Only been to Maine once but get to California every now and then.  If I read your post correctly, I will let you know next time I'm out there.

I plan to go back next summer.  Should you be coming close to me after that time, there is always a place to stay and a bass to play for you at my house.  Anytime.

Thomas:

So you picked this one up?  Congrats!  It's a beautiful instrument.  It's great to have you back in the fold.  So what's this about you moving to the left coast?

Bill, tgo

Thanks Bill and Kyle, it is getting quite a bit of play time after work now.  Kyle, you might want to check the other instruments, as the five-string has red LEDs, not amber, as listed above.  Also, these basses are New Old Stock, which means the purchasers will become the orignal owners, and will have a full factory warranty.  Mica gave me the low down on that over the phone today.  This bass is unplayed and there is not a mark on the frets or its original Alembic strings.  Not a hint of a scratch anywhere - Completely as pristine as it was upon completion date at the factory.  FYI for any one considering the fretless.
