Rare Soldano SP-77 Preamp, USA versionOne of the better kept tone secrets is this SP-77 preamp. It is essentially the preamp circuit off the fantastic Soldano SLO 100 Super lead amp. There were two versions of the SP-77, a MIJ and a made in USA version. I have owned both and I and most others prefer this made in USA one. I have also found that you can get a great Marshall JCM tone in this using 4 12AT7 tubes instead of the normal 12AX7’s. These preamps are rare, hard to find, and going up in value. This one is in great shape. Note, in order to use the 2nd channel of this 2 channel pre, you Must use a footswitch. I will include a Hosa brand switch and a power cord.
