77 med scale series I

The different cutaways on the two basses on this thread are the original Small Standard shape (brought back for the Brown Bass series) and the modern SC shape.

For the scale lengths, I can compare only apples and oranges - a long scale fretless Epic (set neck) and a medium scale fretted Spoiler (neck through).

Anyway - if you've only played long scale until now, you might be surprised by the amount of sustain that the shorter scale Alembics are capable of.

Do Alembic Series pickups or any Alembic pickups come with screw adjustments for the pickup poles pieces?

With the possible exception of 78-995 - see
http://club.alembic.com/Images/393/25175.html?1140571729 ... no, there are no adjustable pole pieces.

Thanks.
Sounds as though the seller the maple S1 Alembic (above) is misinformed. The seller may have been referring to the screws on the rectangular plate that control the pickup sensitivity .
