That top looks like liquid gold.
Gorgeous.

My old Stanley Clark Signature Standard had the same finish. Great bass ... I miss it. The ONLY thing I didn't like was where the strap connects at the back of the body at the neck. It dug into my belly at gigs and caused discomfort. I didn't move it because I was unwilling to put a new hole in the bass. That was my only problem with the short scale small body Stanley Clark Signature bass. But it sounded great and talk about easy to play!

Beautiful looking bass. It also seems reasonably priced if its as they describe (and Willies is typically quite good about that). The first Alembic I've ever come across there that isn't priced way above my means. Did you get a chance to play it? I think I'm going to need to make a quick trip down there after work in the next few days.

I've only seen it on the website.  As soon as my assistant gets  back from vacation, I'll run over there during lunch and try it out.

It's a short scale, 30.75
Unfortunately too small for me. I talked to them yesterday and it's clean and still available.

The website describes the bass as being on hold.  It appears to be an Essence with a body style upgrade and a top wood upgrade.
