Just found this on ebay it says it has a DI output.

I wonder if it is an after purchase mod or done by Alembic when it was built.
Apart from that it seems a high price for a USA based alembic.

Good question about the 3-pin connector.

I remember an ad trying to sell an Alembic Prototype bass with a 3-pin connector and Mica responding that only 5 Pin connectors have ever used on Alembics.
