CD Release at "The Bitter End"
« on: February 11, 2005, 09:04:41 AM »
Hi Guys,

I will be performing @ The Bitter End in NYC with Michelle Albano, Saturday, Feb. 12th @ 8:30 PM.  We just released a CD and will be having our CD release party that night, playing tunes from the CD.

Here is a link to Michelle's website that has clips of the tunes up under the Music tab: www.michellealbano.com.

Seven of these songs I recorded using my Mark King, and the other four were played on either my Tobias or StingRay.

Brother Mikey,

there is a dude in those video's playing a weird black-and-white bass. It's a greta player but ...where's the Alembic?? It couldn't be you of course.

Hey Brother Paul,

Yes...unfortunately that is me...Alembic-less at the moment.  I'm using my StingRay in those videos.  In the older videos you could see my Alembic in all it's glory, but the site was just recently updated with new footage, and the old ones removed.

Hopefully I will be able to acquire another Alembic sometime in the near future, but in the meantime...I'll continue to lurk around here.

Yeah...it was a very painful transaction.  Here was the details: http://club.alembic.com/Images/395/10580.html?1089644812

I have just recently put in an order for a custom 8-string Conklin.  And very soon will begin my quest for my next Alembic.  Will look around a bit to see if I can find one out there that suits me, or I may decide to go the custom route again, this time going with the smaller Stanley Clark Body.

Ok, I understand now; Paul is growing mushrooms in his basement.  It all begins to make sense.

I'm listening to the clips now; and they do sound very nice.  Sounds like the piano player maybe wrote all the music.

Hey Dave,

Yes...you are right...that is Michelle on Vocals & Piano, and all of these tracks are written by her.
