Hello Alembic People
« on: August 08, 2012, 06:24:04 PM »
Thanks to my Uncle(who is a Fine Musician), I am able to make payments on a beautiful Walnut/Mahogany Distilliate 4 String, from 1983.   After years of abusing myself, I see this as a path of light.

I didn't know the Distilliate necks tilted back like a Les Paul.  I think the Persuader I once owned had this feature.  I've had 3 other high end basses, but..this particular one means alot.

I've played now for 22 years.  I get stuck on youtube quite a bit, listening Stanley Clarke, Jaco, Anthony Jackson, Bill Dickens.  My favorite current band is Van Halen.

Take care..

Welcome to the club. Though we may have different tastes in music, our ability to discern a spectacular bass appears to be similar.

I think you'll really enjoy playing your Distillate. As far as I'm concerned, other than the Series basses, the Distillate is King/Queen.

Thank you, Sir.  I feel very welcome here.

I certainly do love my new Bass.  I plugged in, and sounded almost exactly like Entwhistle with his Spyder/Exploiter.

You gotta put some photos up.

Thank you both!  I'm just getting back into serious practice.  I'll do some pics, soon..probably when I get an amp.
