Here is my newly acquired '77 Series I 12 String. I've always thought of the Alembic Omega as female and the point as male, so I'm calling this one "Big Irv" after my dad who recently passed away. It plays amazingly - almost as easy as a 6 string! Vital statistics: LSG 12-string guitar top and back: P. Walnut* core: Mahogany neck: Maple and Purpleheart, 25.5" long scale fingerboard: Ebony with mother of pearl ovals peghead veneers: Bocate and Walnut originally made for: Rothchild birthday: November 30, 1977 On December 5, 1977, Rothchild sent the guitar back to us to have LEDs installed. On Augst 30, 1978, Rothchild sent the guitar in again to have the LEDs replaced. The 9th fret LED "goes out when the fingerboard is fretted at that postition. Please repair." We repaired under warranty. *P. Walnut is probably for Peruvian Walnut, a true juglans Walnut from South America.
