76-412

Howdy, long time listener, first time buyer and delighted new owner of Series 1 76-412.  Seems there is some history here with this bass, rest assured it is in eager and joyful hands.  I just received it yesterday and hadn't had it out of the box for more than an hour before toting off to a 4 hr rehearsal so got to dig in and get to playing right away. It is everything I dreamed it would be to have one of these magnificent instruments (a perfect compliment to my Godin A4 Ultra fretless) and I am looking forward to many years of inspired collaboration together!

Finish is yellowed and cracking with age, seems it's been like that for some time. As much as I like the thought of sending it off to get a makeover and making that purpleheart pop and see the fine grains in the birch, I like it how it is.

In at the deep end, that's the way to do it! Congrats, and welcome to the Club!

Very nice.  The finish gives it extra character.  Hip shots are handy.

Nice to see 412 found a good home. Enjoy that bass... it's a classic.
