Please have a look at it:

It's from 1987, a very early one. Mint condition !

That's a really nice dark cocobolo!  You oughta post a picture in the Showcase in the Signature Basses folder.

Welcome to the Alembic Club, where GAS is the equivalent of the State Flower.

Peace,

The pointed tail makes it look like a very exquisite piece of ornamentation for your lawn!

Beautiful bass, congrats!

Just something that crossed my mind. Is there any difference in the electronics or the way they are set up between the Stanley Clarke and Mark King Signature Models?

Or, are the differences between the two models purely in wooden bits of the bass.. ie the body shape, scale length, neck,  types of wood etc ?

Hey Jazzyvee,

I believe the only differences is the body shape/size and scale length.  For the Signature Deluxe, the Stanley Clark comes standard w/ Rosewood top laminates, while the Mark King comes standard w/ Coco Bolo top laminates.

The electronics are identical, the body woods are the same, and even the wood and laminates used in the neck are identical.  Of course, you can customize and change all that.
