Series II Entwistle Replica Open Mic Love ....
« on: March 04, 2013, 11:37:24 PM »
Tonight, I took my Series II Entwistle Replica to an open mic.  Normally I don't, relying on my Lakland 4-94 for such things most of the time.  But tonight, the house bassist was playing his last gig with the house band as he's moving to another state, and I figured I'd give him a good send off ...

So, I set up (for open mics and small gigs, I'm using a Genz Benz Streamliner 900 and NX212 cab), tune up, and get ready ...

I get called up early, and we play mostly classic rock stuff ....

I get called up again, and do some other things ... reaction?

I had both players and non-players coming up to me and telling me how amazing my Alembic sounded, and looked.  Terms like badass, magnificent, amazing, awesome, and Cadillac were thrown around describing my bass.

Only proves to me what a lot of what all of us who are fortunate enough to be Alembic owners already know - we own the best bass guitar on the planet.

I'll be taking the Series II out more often.
