We do need the bass for fitting the parts. Since 1988, the brass saddles and nut have likely worn in, and it's much preferable to have the hardware in its optimum condition before plating.
Sending new parts plated but unslot is not a good option either. The chrome is so hard, that a normal file will not cut through.
Our chrome plater is local and will usually turn around a job in a day or two. If you were visting the wine country someday, you could drop your bass off first, then in a couple of later you could pick it up outfitted as you want.
