My band is off for four days in St. Louis which is'nt bad since there is plenty to do here. I mean there is the Budweiser Brewery Tour, The Arch and if the Cardinals are in town you can go see a game. There are so many different and inexpensive things to do where does one start? Well let me tell you. Rent yourself an economy car and make the 220 mile trip north to Fairfield, Iowa and visit Will Gunn's shop(actually his home). The drive up is very laid back with minimal hwy. construction and traffic. Will's place is easy to find and a beautiful place to inspect one of the instruments he has in stock or to make plans for a future custom. Will is very personable, friendly and extremely knowledgeable about Alembics, and with that knowledge he can point you in the right direction in designing your dream custom. I spent a good deal of time there talking Alembics history, my future custom, the music biz in general. It was a very cool experience and I highly recomend the trip, and if you can't make it give him a call and talk shop. He really enjoys what he's doing and that translates to good business. Check him out guys!
