I was leaving a job today near 48th st where there is a string of music stores. I noticed a near mint '86 Alembic Persuader with Alembic P/J pickup configuration. This bass was CLEAN! looks like the original owner barely used it and kept it in a closet hiberanting. Only a little typical oxidation on the bridge is all I found that showed the age of this bass. Maple top, mahogany body. Rudy's Music Stop ( phone#212-391-1699) is the store, Ariel Zino is the rep who helped me, the price they're asking is $1,299. (I know you could talk them down). Just thought I'd share that with whomever might be interested. The strings need changing. Great bass. Cheers,
