Should we tell them it's a Series II...? It's not a bad price for what it is.

Is that one part of the set of matched 4, 5, & 6 string Series IIs from a few years back?

That was cool of ya'.  8)  I've sent messages on occasion, with mixed reactions. Sometimes they appreciate the advice. I think sometimes if you're not potentially buyin' they don't care what you think it is. There's some twit with a dorked-up Series I medium-scale guitar on there, been there for years, plural now, listed as a Series II at $12.5K. I hope they get it. I was interested in that guitar until they were short with me for pointing out difference. No hard feelin's... I ended up with a much nicer guitar in a private sale at less than half that price.

That would be cool. I remember seeing a 5-string flame maple bass in this body, but can't recall a 6-string. I'm probably thinking about a different bass.

These long-horned basses balance quite well... which I suppose was the whole point of that pattern. I had an '85 Distillate with this variation. It was a vast improvement over the '81, which did not.
